The initiative to start Iisak came when I moved back to Finland, after over 6 years of studying and working abroad in Italy, Sweden and Denmark. When I came back, I could see the country from a new perspective, a country with vast nature landscape, resources, and great craftmanship.
Every design is highly inspired to the shapes of nature, from sand waves, to water, and once ideated, we work closely together with local artisans to bring them to life.
Iisak is part of a broader effort to reestablish local production as a forward-looking path. By designing well-crafted objects, we create lasting value for the people who make them, and for those who bring them into their homes.
Finland has a long and proud history of craftsmanship, shaped by generations of skilled makers and locally rooted production. This tradition continues to inspire us, reminding us of the value of doing things well, with care, and close to home.
We choose to produce our products in Finland, to maintain quality, ensure control over our supply chain, keep transportation routes short, and to support local artisans.
This is part of a broader effort to reestablish local production as a forward-looking path. By designing well-crafted objects, we create lasting value for the people who make them, and for those who bring them into their homes.
Designed and crafted in Finland.
