We believe that dining is more than flavor. It’s about atmosphere, presentation, and the subtle details that make a meal unforgettable. The objects on the table are not just tools , they are part of the story, part of the experience.
Our approach is immersive. To create tableware that truly reflects a restaurant’s identity, we explore everything from their vision, their culture, the atmosphere they cultivate. Every nuance is considered, every detail translated into designs that are both functional and meaningful.
In a world of mass production, we treasure the human touch. Every piece is handcrafted in close collaboration with local artisans, carrying with it the care, skill, and authenticity that only a handmade object can convey.
I have always felt fortunate to know, from an early age, that I wanted to design physical objects that are meant to be used, touched, and experienced. For me, design is never just about the object, but about the process behind it. The dialogue between the people involved is essential. It cannot be rushed or forced; it needs space to evolve.
My perspective was shaped while living in Sweden, Denmark, and Italy, where I studied and worked within industrial and strategic design. These years taught me the importance of the dance between design and production, and how ideas gain true value when realised with clarity, intention, and respect for the process.
After returning to Finland, I was drawn into the culinary world. Its precision, pursuit of quality, and quiet creativity immediately resonated with me. I came to see that cooking and design share the same foundation: respect for materials, process, and the people who experience the result. Iisak is evolved into combining design and gastronomy to create tangible experiences through tableware, made to be used, shared, and remembered.
